A deleted tweet from Sarah Palin. She is deleting anything that may show what she has said and done and advocated: TakeBackthe20.com, her tweets, posts on Facebook. She started doing this BEFORE she bothered to extend condolences to Griffords, the other victims of the shooting, and their families.
Do not forget this.
Palin, Bachman, Beck, Limbaugh and all their ilk (the Tea Party) with the gun play rhetoric and violent fantasies, “I’m just sayin’” conjectures and hate mongering all have a share in the blame for today’s incident.
They’ll deny it.
Come Monday, they’ll start blaming the victims soon enough for somehow bringing it upon themselves or for not heeding warnings.
They’ll also try and make themselves out to be victims of reasonable people’s derision for their previous messages.
Sadly, their followers already are so incapable of reason that they’ll once more just go along with what they’re told and in some pockets, consider the shooter(s) to be heroes.
The right wing hate machine is just as bad as any Muslim extremist ayatollahs, mullahs and imams advocating the death of Americans. Our greatest battle against extremism may be right here at home.

Re: The GOP field
I’ll read headline after headline, write headline after headline, watch speech snippets and debate summaries of the GOP candidates and I suddenly become “David After Dentist” with “Is this real life?”
Really? That’s who your frontrunner is this week? (repeat next week) Did all those things just happen?
It’s all a joke, right? The damaging ramifications of the candidates’ policies are there for all to behold and they are apparently just ignored. The incredible turnabouts, flip-flops, contradictions, historical errors and gaffes seem to do little to bring sense to the proceedings.
The mind boggles. It’s just like regarding pro wrestling and being astounded at the lack of incredulity on the part of fans of all ages. The willful ignorance is amazing.
“You people are buying this shit?”
The moderate Huntsman is the lone bit of sentience on the GOP stage but that’s not saying much if you step back a bit and take in the whole.
Again, I’m just shaking my head and want to turn to a neighbor and say “You guys are seeing this too, right? I can’t be the only one.”
This is certainly not the first time any of this has happened to me but upon the backdrop of a weak economy, the birth pangs of a people’s revolution against the 1% and their corporate domination of D.C., an unsettled Middle East, a most-hated and paralyzed Congress and more… it just seems to be that much more a theater of the absurd.
Pure. unadulterated. crazy.
We’re not in Kansas anymore. Maybe we never were.
It’s like the Republican Party walks into a shit sandwich shop and spends like nine months looking at the menu board trying to find the shit sandwich with least amount of shit in it.
Spot on, ION. What also amazes me is the incredible effort of GOPers to self-hypnotize so they can feel good about their choice of the moment. They’re incredibly fickle too as they just search for solid reasons to like or dislike each one so they can stop thinking about how shitty the group is. It’s Newt one week, Ron Paul the next and then Romney. L,R,R.
Such a pathetic will to believe and gullibility is inherent in the party faithful so the candidates play on that with ever bigger lies and distortions. They know they can get away with incredible hypocrisy because the GOPers are SO desperate to want to fervently like them, hoping for easy answers and a chance to stop thinking.
“Please! Gives us someone to cheer for so we’re not stuck with the uppity black man again!”
Where else could one tout family values and get away with cheating on wives? The GOP. Where else could a man wearing magic underwear who loves corporate personhood gan such a perch? The GOP. Where else could an Ayn Rand devotee cloak his racism, homophobia and ignorance in a cloak of libertarianism pushing states rights? The GOP.
Iowa? You can keep ‘em all.
